Sydney’s best vegan eats: From doughnuts to pizza to lasagne and soft serve
Source: The Daily Telegraph
BEING a vegan is easier than ever before in the Harbour City, with an increasing number of eateries and stores serving up food favourites that have had animal-free makeovers — doughnuts and lasagne included.
CHEESE-FREE PIZZAS
GIGI PIZZERIA
IN September, this pizzeria, which creates authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, took cheese off its menu. How authentic is that?
Apparently, very much so as the original Naples staple was the marinara, made of only tomato, garlic, oregano and oil. You won’t find any meat on the menu any more either.
Try the mushroom-based Funghi e Radicchio with dairy-free blue cheese. Yum.
Where: 379 King St, Newtown
Cost: Pizzas from $17
